Leon Stukelj

As a member of the Slovenian team, he won two gold medals at the Amsterdam Olympics. He also has silver medal on rings at the Berlin Olympics at the age of 37.

At the time of his induction in 1997, Mr. Stukelj was 98 years young, and the oldest living Olympic gold medalist.

Leon Stukelj is inducted with the honor of being the oldest living Olympic gold medalist. At the time of his induction, Mr. Stukelj was 98 years young.

As a member of the Slovenian team, he won two gold medals at the Amsterdam Olympics. He also has silver medal on rings at the Berlin Olympics at the age of 37.

He won a total of 17 medals at the World and Olympic championships, eight of them gold. In 1988, he was awarded the Olympic Order by IOC President J. A. Samaranch and is one of only two honorary members of the Olympic Committee.
