Honorees 2025

OKLAHOMA CITY – Four international gymnastics legends will be honored at the 28th annual International Gymnastics Hall of Fame (IGHOF) Induction ceremony on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the Petroleum Club in Oklahoma City.

2025 IGHOF Inductees:

  • Beth Tweddle (GBR): Three-time World Champion, and 2012 Olympic bronze medalist on the Uneven Bars.
  • Andreas Wecker (GER): Four-time Olympic Medalist including 1996 Olympic gold on High Bar, and six-time World Championship Medalist.
  • Catalina Ponor (ROM): Three-time Olympian 2004, 2012, 2016, and winner of five Olympic medals, including three golds in 2004. (Previously honored in 2022, but was unable to attend the official IGHOF ceremony)

2025 Frank Bare Award Honoree:

  • Paul Ziert (USA): Legendary gymnasticscoach, entrepreneur and generous philanthropic supporter of numerous gymnastics related causes including the IGHOF.

Over the past 27 years, 138 of gymnastics' greatest stars and contributors, representing 22 countries have been formally honored by the Hall of Fame. The IGHOF is home to gymnastics legends such as Nadia Comaneci (ROM), Mary Lou Retton (USA), Sawao Kato (JPN) Fabian Hambuchen (GER), and Kurt Thomas (USA).

Founded in 1987, in Oceanside, California, the IGHOF relocated to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, in 1996, where it has developed a solid foundation of private support. The IGHOF exhibit is located inside Science Museum Oklahoma.

"The mission of the IGHOF is to celebrate the legacies of these gymnastics legends and amplify their stories to inspire future generations," said Bart Conner, 1997 IGHOF Inductee, Chairman of the Board.
